There are tons of Canva hidden features and if you’re quick and efficient, you likely use an easy Canva keyboard shortcut to add a text box to your design (simply press the letter “T” on your keyboard).

Alternatively, you can navigate to the text tab on your sidebar to find premade Canva font combinations and heading, subheading, and body text to add to your page.

If you’re interested in the science behind font combinations, you’ll want to read Canva’s guide to font pairing before we get started.

How to upload fonts to Canva Pro

Did you know that you can upload your font to Canva from within your Canva Brand Kit?

This awesome feature is exclusive to Canva Pro users looking to enhance their content creations across the platform with their branding colors and fonts.

To add a font to Canva, simply head over to your brand kit and upload your brand’s font using the button below “Brand fonts”.

How to Choose the best fonts for Pinterest

Everyone wants to learn how to make their pins go viral on Pinterest, but the reality is, that you first need to create eye-catching Pinterest pins with Pinterest’s creative best practices in mind.

Whether you’re making standard pins, idea pins, or video pins, it all starts with beautifully paired Pinterest fonts.

A successful font pairing is integral to successful Pinterest pins.

Here are some considerations when choosing the best Canva fonts for Pinterest:

    • Choose fonts that stand out — Think about your target audience scrolling through Pinterest. What would make them stop the scroll and spend more time looking at and ultimately clicking on your Pinterest pins? Pro tip: Search for your Pinterest SEO keywords in the Pinterest search bar. Think about how you can create pins that stand out from the rest.
    • Choose fonts that are easy to read — Pinterest fonts need to be crystal clear and simple to read so that their algorithm can more easily categorize and index them appropriately. If Pinterest doesn’t know what your pin says, how will your target audience find you in search? Pro tip: Avoid excessively scrolly fonts like the plague!
    • Choose the right font personality — You’ll also want to consider your font’s personality and the role it will play in your Pinterest pins. Pro tip: If your Pinterest pin text overlay conveys a serious topic, don’t use a playful font.
    • Choose no more than two fonts — Using more than two Canva fonts can make your design look cluttered and chaotic. Stick to a simple font pairing of one or two fonts. Pro tip: Try using only one font, but play around with making it bold or italic to draw attention to your keywords.

Choosing fonts that look good together in Canva depends on the overall style and design you’re trying to achieve. However, here are some general tips to keep in mind when pairing fonts in Canva:

    1. Contrast: Pair fonts with contrasting styles, such as a bold sans-serif font with a delicate script font. This creates visual interest and makes the text stand out.

    2. Similarity: Pair fonts with similar proportions or shapes. This creates a cohesive look and makes the text appear harmonious.

    3. Hierarchy: Use different font styles and weights to create a hierarchy in your design. For example, use a bold sans-serif font for headings and a lighter sans-serif font for body text.

    4. Legibility: Choose fonts that are easy to read and complement each other. Avoid pairing two decorative or ornate fonts, as this can make the text difficult to read.

    5. Mood: Consider the mood and tone of your design when choosing fonts. For example, a vintage-style design may benefit from pairing a serif font with a script font.

Ultimately, the best font pairings in Canva will depend on the specific design and context.

Don’t be afraid to experiment with different combinations and find what works best for your project.

When choosing a font for Pinterest, it’s important to consider the overall style and tone of your brand or content. However, here are some general tips to keep in mind when selecting a font for your Pinterest graphics:

    1. Use legible and easy-to-read fonts: Pinterest graphics should be easy to read and quickly grab the viewer’s attention. Consider using simple and legible fonts, such as sans-serif or slab serif fonts.

    2. Choose fonts that reflect your brand: Your font choice should be consistent with your brand’s overall style and tone. For example, if your brand is modern and minimalistic, consider using a clean and simple font.

    3. Consider font size and spacing: Make sure your font size is large enough to be easily read on smaller screens. Additionally, consider the spacing between letters and lines to ensure that the text is legible and visually appealing.

    4. Be creative: Don’t be afraid to experiment with different fonts to create a unique and eye-catching design. Consider pairing contrasting fonts, such as a bold sans-serif font with a delicate script font, to add visual interest to your graphics.

Overall, the best font for Pinterest will depend on your brand and the type of content you’re creating.

Experiment with different fonts to find what works best for your specific needs.
