How to choose the best fonts for Pinterest
Everyone wants to learn how to make their pins go viral on Pinterest, but the reality is, that you first need to create eye-catching Pinterest pins with Pinterest’s creative best practices in mind.
Whether you’re making standard pins, idea pins, or video pins, it all starts with beautifully paired Pinterest fonts.
A successful font pairing is integral to successful Pinterest pins.
Here are some considerations when choosing the best Canva fonts for Pinterest:
- Choose fonts that stand out — Think about your target audience scrolling through Pinterest. What would make them stop the scroll and spend more time looking at and ultimately clicking on your Pinterest pins? Pro tip: Search for your Pinterest SEO keywords in the Pinterest search bar. Think about how you can create pins that stand out from the rest.
- Choose fonts that are easy to read — Pinterest fonts need to be crystal clear and simple to read so that their algorithm can more easily categorize and index them appropriately. If Pinterest doesn’t know what your pin says, how will your target audience find you in search? Pro tip: Avoid excessively scrolly fonts like the plague!
- Choose the right font personality — You’ll also want to consider your font’s personality and the role it will play in your Pinterest pins. Pro tip: If your Pinterest pin text overlay conveys a serious topic, don’t use a playful font.
- Choose no more than two fonts — Using more than two Canva fonts can make your design look cluttered and chaotic. Stick to a simple font pairing of one or two fonts. Pro tip: Try using only one font, but play around with making it bold or italic to draw attention to your keywords.
