You’re in the right place if you’ve ever wondered about crafting a Canva website with multiple pages.

I’m here to guide you through a simple yet effective and budget-friendly way to build a stunning online presence using Canva. Let me help you unlock the potential of a multi-page Canva website that showcases your unique brand and story.

Creating a Canva website with multiple pages might seem like a hack, but it’s really about thinking outside the box and making the platform work for you, on a budget.

And who knows, maybe one day, they’ll give us an easier option to create a multi-page website with Canva that’s still affordable and easy to customize on our own, but for now, this is what it takes.

With a little creativity, you’re all set to build a multi-page website that looks incredible and connects with your audience.

Step 1: Start with Canva

First, forget everything you know about other web hosting platforms and how spendy they can be. With Canva, you don’t have to spend a dime to host your new, beautiful website, however, there are limitations.

To create a Canva website with multiple pages, you’ll need to create several separate websites on Canva that we’ll link together to act as our “pages”.

Free Canva account users are limited to only 5 websites linked to their my.canva.site domain, you’ll have to limit the number of “pages” your multi-page website will have. So if you’re trying to keep your website free, this is the route you’ll want to take.

But if you want more than 5 pages, the good news is, Canva Pro users can publish unlimited websites linked to their my.canva.site domain! This means, your new website can have as many pages as you wish.

Lastly, Canva Pro users can also buy a domain name directly from Canva or use an existing one and link it to your multi-page website.

Step 2: Design Your homepage

Your homepage page is like the front door to your brand’s online home. It’s the first thing visitors see, so you want it to be inviting and reflective of your style.

Using the Canva website builder, choose a template that speaks to you and customize it to perfection, or create one from scratch. Add your fonts, color palette, images, and whatever else that is unique to your brand.

For this tutorial, I’ll be using my Canva website demo page with a Canva website template for coaches that you can find in my shop.

Step 3: Craft Additional Pages as Standalone Websites

Now, here’s the clever bit.

Since Canva currently only supports single-page websites linked to your domain, we’re going to create each additional page of our website as a separate, free Canva website subdomain.

Don’t worry; the pages won’t need their own domain. These pages will act as the chapters in your website’s story, each one a standalone piece that complements the whole.

Step 4: Link Your Pages Together

Once you’ve published your main homepage and all your additional pages, it’s time to bring them together.

On your homepage, add links to these additional “pages.” In reality, you’re linking to other Canva websites you’ve created, but your visitors won’t notice the difference.

With your element selected, add a link by using the Canva keyboard shortcut, Ctrl + “K” or highlight the text you’d like to link, click on the link icon 🔗 that appears, and add your link.

Make sure to include a navigation menu on each page, like a home button that links back to your homepage and other buttons for each of your pages to guide visitors through your site seamlessly.

Please do not use the navigation menu that Canva offers you when publishing your website, as their menu only creates anchor links to different sections on that single website page.

Why should you make a Canva website with multiple pages?

  • Simplicity — Canva’s drag-and-drop design tools make it super easy to create each part of your website. No tech headaches here and absolutely no CSS!
  • Cost-effective — With either a free or Canva Pro subscription, you’re saving a bundle on web development costs, like hosting, without sacrificing beauty or functionality. It’s essentially free!
  • Uniquely you — This method lets you pour your creativity into each page, ensuring your website is a true reflection of your brand and aesthetic.

Ways to use your Canva website with multiple pages:

  • Portfolio showcase — Artists, designers, photographers, and creatives can use a Canva website with multiple pages to display their work. By creating a visually appealing portfolio, you can attract potential clients, showcase your skills, and share your artistic journey.
  • Business landing page — Small businesses can create a landing page to introduce their products or services, highlight key benefits, and include call-to-action (CTA) buttons that direct visitors to contact forms, product pages, or service bookings.
  • Event promotion — Use a Canva website to promote upcoming events, workshops, or webinars. Include event details, speaker bios, schedules, and registration links to encourage participation.
  • Product launches — Launch new products with a dedicated page that details features, benefits, and pricing. Embed videos, testimonials, and product galleries to create a comprehensive showcase.
  • Educational resources — Educators and trainers can build a site to share educational materials, course outlines, and resources. This is an excellent way to support classroom learning, offer extra help, or provide access to online courses.
  • Personal branding — Individuals looking to build their brand can create a Canva website with multiple pages highlighting their expertise, experience, and what sets them apart. Include a blog to share insights, tips, and industry trends.
  • Online resume — A Canva website with multiple pages can serve as an interactive online resume, showcasing your professional journey, achievements, and skills in a dynamic format that goes beyond the traditional CV.
  • Customer testimonials — Build a dedicated page to share customer testimonials and success stories. This can help build trust and credibility with potential clients and customers.
  • Marketing campaigns — Use a Canva website with multiple pages for targeted marketing campaigns, creating specific pages for different audiences or products. This allows for tailored messaging and tracking of campaign effectiveness.
  • Membership sites — For communities, clubs, or subscription-based services, a Canva website with multiple pages can host member-exclusive content, updates, and resources, fostering a sense of belonging and value.
  • Digital invitations — Create digital invitations for personal or professional events, with details, RSVP functionality, and even a map to the venue. This approach adds a personal touch and is eco-friendly.
  • Blogging platform — While Canva isn’t a traditional blogging platform, you can use a Canva website with multiple pages to create a simple blog to share updates, insights, and stories related to your business or personal interests.
  • FAQ page — A dedicated FAQ page on your Canva website can help address common questions, reduce customer service inquiries, and provide valuable information to your audience.
  • Lead generation — Use your Canva website with multiple pages to attract leads by offering valuable resources, such as ebooks, whitepapers, or free templates, in exchange for contact information.
